Magic Playrooms

People

A Tampa Bay family studio — not a catalog company.

Magic Playrooms is Bar and Mercy Eshel. Four kids at home. Years in rooms full of children before any client floor plan. We design for how kids actually play — then help make the room real with licensed partners.

At home

Four kids. Real mess. Real reset.

We are not guessing what multi-age play looks like. Our house is where the philosophy gets stress-tested: movement and quiet in the same footprint, storage kids can run, a room that has to work on a Tuesday afternoon — not only in a photo.

Who you'll work with

Bar and Mercy.

Bar Eshel

Founder

Bar runs Magic Playrooms: the Studio Call, the design path, and how a plan becomes a real room with licensed partners in Tampa Bay.

Before this studio, he coached PE and soccer. That work is still in the rooms — kids need to move, and a play space that only looks calm on Instagram is not enough.

He is also a dad of four. The questions parents bring into a Studio Call are not theoretical for him.

Mercy Eshel

Co-founder · early childhood

Mercy spent years as a Pre-K teacher. She knows what holds a three-year-old's attention, what collapses into chaos, and what actually helps a child start play without an adult hovering.

That classroom lens shapes how Magic reads a brief: temperaments, ages sharing one room, reach, reset, and what a child can do alone.

She is a mother of four alongside Bar. Home is the lab before any client project is.

Why this matters

Classroom. Court. Home. Then your room.

Early childhood, not only aesthetics

Mercy's Pre-K years mean we care whether a child can start, sustain, and end play — not only whether the room photographs well.

Bodies that need to move

Bar's PE and soccer coaching show up as body-first layout: reach, soft landings, zones that allow climbing and crashing without turning the house into a hazard.

Parents who live it

Four kids under one roof is the daily proof. Multi-age, real mess, real cleanup. We design rooms we would want to live with.

How we show up

Small on purpose.

  • You talk to the people who own the work — not a rotating sales desk.
  • Design is Magic. Build and install run through licensed partners we coordinate, or partners you already trust.
  • We will say no if we are not the right fit. A Studio Call is a fit check, not a pitch deck.
  • Concepts stay labeled as concepts until a real room is photographed with permission.

Meet us on a Studio Call.

Thirty minutes about your kids and your room. We'll tell you plainly whether the Design Plan is a fit.
